Live plants can be sensitive to cold temperatures during transit. To help ensure your plants arrive healthy and ready to thrive, RoomForPlants offers Cold Weather Shipping Protection during colder months.
What Is Cold Weather Shipping Protection?
Cold Weather Shipping Protection may include one or more of the following:
- Multi-day heat pack(s)*
- Thermal insulation liners
- Expedited shipping when necessary based on weather conditions
- Cold Weather Protection Guarantee
If your order arrives with cold-weather damage and Cold Weather Shipping Protection was added to the order, we will either send a replacement plant or issue a full refund.
*We recommend adding Cold Weather Shipping Protection whenever average daytime temperatures are expected to fall below 50°F. Heat packs and other protective materials will be included as needed based on destination weather conditions. If temperatures are expected to fall below 0°F, we may delay shipment until conditions improve. If this occurs, we will contact you directly.
When Is Cold Weather Shipping Protection Needed?
We strongly recommend Cold Weather Shipping Protection whenever average daytime temperatures at the delivery destination are expected to fall below 45°F.
Orders Shipped Without Protection
Orders shipped to destinations with average daytime temperatures below 45°F that do not include Cold Weather Shipping Protection may not be eligible for replacement, refund, or damage claims related to cold-weather exposure.
Cold Weather Shipping Protection is available during checkout.
Our Commitment
We work closely with our greenhouse partners to package plants appropriately for transit. While we take every reasonable precaution, extreme weather conditions and carrier delays can increase the risk of cold damage during shipping.
